Travel Arrivals & Required Permissions
There are various “Authorizations” that you as a parent will need to provide as part of your child’s Online Registration process to Culver. Authorizations will be obtained electronically as you complete the required Online Registration process. Once we have received your completed Enrollment Contract and deposit for the 2020-2021 school year, you will be sent an invitation to begin the electronic Online Registration. The Authorizations include the following:
Permit Authorization
This authorization gives your child permission to leave campus on permit (not overnight). For additional information about permits and leaves, see Travel, Permits, and Leaves.
Spiritual Life Observance Authorization
The Practice of religious and spiritual devotion is an integral part of life at Culver, and attending a weekly service (you must select one) is required of all students. See the Spiritual Life Offerings for a detailed explanation.
Release Authorization
Promoting the successes of your child allows Culver to showcase the Academies and the quality of students it attracts. At various points in his or her Culver career, your child is likely to attain recognition for their achievements in academics, athletics or extracurricular activities. In those instances, Culver Academies may send press releases, invite media to interview and film students, and post information on the Culver website. In addition, you may receive a press release form to complete and submit to your area media outlets. Should the release appear in print, the Communications Department would appreciate a copy mailed to:

Skeet Range and Horsemanship Release
Students wishing to participate in these activities must have special permission. If your child wishes to participate in one or more of these activities, please provide authorization during your online registration process.
Student/Parent Directory Release
The Student/Parent Directory is located in the Parent Portal and is visible only to current parents with valid login credentials. It lists home information for students and their families and can be helpful when trying to arrange ride sharing with families who live near you or when reaching out to the family of the student your child wished to have join you for dinner or an overnight visit. A faculty/staff directory listing of on-campus phone numbers and email addresses can also be found here.
Online Registration
Please remember that you will not receive the electronic invitation to Online Registration until the Enrollment Contract is completed and the required deposit paid. In order for your child to be prepared for “move-in” day, it is imperative to complete the Online Registration and submit any additional downloadable paperwork NO LATER THAN AUGUST 1, 2020.
Culver students will register on different days. Upon arrival on campus, students should proceed to the Multipurpose Building. Adults and current students will be there to help you. Parents are invited and encouraged to accompany their child to Culver and assist in registration. It is advantageous to arrive early in the day, as there are a number of things to be done on campus in order for your child to be settled into his/her living unit. Please note, however, that students have scheduled activities that preclude parents from spending time with their child after 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, August 11 – New international students & Liaisons and Fall Sports Camps Report. (CGA Soccer, Volleyball, CMA Soccer, and Sailing)

Travel to Culver
The Travel to Culver form will now be completed during the online registration process. Mark the appropriate box under the date you will arrive in Culver. If you plan to arrive via Culver transportation, please check the airport at which you will arrive and provide airline, flight number and arrival time. Ensure the flight number listed is the one to get you to your final destination, if there are connecting flights. Your flight should arrive one hour before departure for Culver. Bus services are available for incoming students only. Parents accompanying their child must find their own transportation to campus.
