Culver Academies wrestling focuses on the development of the wrestler as a whole person. We pride ourselves on creating enthusiasm for the sport. Focusing on the mind, body and spirit keeps us true to who we strive to be, and keeps us aligned with the Culver Mission. We pride ourselves on developing our wrestlers into the best student-athletes they can be. Former Culver wrestlers are currently wrestling in collegiate programs ranging from Division 1 schools to club programs.
Our team is a home to wrestlers of all skill levels. The coaching staff makes it a priority to meet the needs of each wrestler. We will continue to develop the highest level of competitors, pushing them to meet their own short-term and long-term goals. Coaches also develop wrestlers that are new to the sport. Through hard work, commitment and support, novice wrestlers can work their way into the varsity lineup. Through diligence and perseverance, they have become major contributors to the success of the team as a whole.
In recent years, the Culver wrestling team has qualified for the IHSWCA Team State Duals multiple times. Our wrestlers have competed in the Indiana High School Athletic Association State Finals in front of 13,000 spectators. In addition to wrestlers earning All-State honors, we have had numerous wrestlers compete at the national level and earn All-American honors.
The sport of wrestling is a vehicle to teach work ethic, goal-setting skills, determination, and commitment. When wrestlers graduate from Culver they are stronger, tougher, and more focused than ever before. At Culver, academic performance is the number one priority. Wrestling becomes another avenue in which we have the opportunity to teach our students how to be successful on the mat and in life!
