Culver football represents a proud tradition dating back to 1896 when Culver Academy fielded its first football team. Today, the young men of the maroon and white continue to exemplify the Culver virtues as they strive to maximize individual talents in serving a team and organization much greater than themselves. CMA football's rallying call of "Eagles for Brothers" is the foundation of our program as young men from across the nation and globe unite to embrace the opportunity to play the game of football. Current Eagles embody the qualities of teamwork, togetherness, and toughness as they battle side by side to overcome challenges and celebrate victories.

In addition to team success, Eagle football is proud of the individual achievements and continued success enjoyed by our football alumni. Not only have CMA athletes earned all area and all state recognition but recent CMA graduates have continued their football careers at prestigious schools such as Princeton, Virginia, West Point, North Carolina, LSU, Northern Illinois, Wabash, University of Chicago, Dickinson, North Central, Salisbury, and Illinois Benedictine. Equally impressive, CMA football has laid a foundation for our graduates to enter the most selfless service of all – enlisting in the United States Military. Currently six Eagle football alumni are enrolled at West Point, two at the Naval Academy and one at the Air Force Academy. We also have dozens of football alumni who are currently serving our nation around the globe including a Navy Seal, Green Beret, and several other members of the special forces.

While attending Culver, Eagle football strives to be one of the most unique and enriching experiences of a young man's life. Each member of the coaching staff is a respected teacher both in the classroom and on the football field. Our passion to teach and mentor young men is paramount; as the game of football provides tremendous opportunities for learning and growth. We trust that everyone associated with the Culver Eagle football family believes that every day is A Great Day to Be An Eagle.
