Three Culver Military Academy Basketball players selected as Indiana All-Stars

June 2-8, three members of the 2018-19 IHSAA 3A State Runner-Up CMA Basketball team will take part in the coveted IndyStar Indiana All-Stars slate of competitions. One senior and two juniors will take part in the events. See below for the full schedule of events and ticketing information.

Senior point guard and Boston University signee Ethan Brittain-Watts (title photo) is the first male in Culver Academies history to be selected to the Indiana Senior All-Star team. The Indianapolis, IN native was selected after a season where he became the CMA program's second all-time leading scorer, having scored 1,375 total career points. He also helped lead his team to an IHSAA 3A State Championship in 2017-18 and a State Championship appearance in 2018-19, averaging 16 points per game in the 18-19 campaign.

"We are all extremely proud of Ethan becoming an Indiana All Star," said CMA Basketball head coach Mark Galloway. "Ethan helped lead his team to two IHSAA 3A State Finals, and with this he becomes the first Indiana All Star in Culver Military Academy Basketball history."

The soon-to-be business/sports management major reflected positively on his time at Culver, and largely credits the culture on and off the court his development into the young man and high school basketball player he has become.

"Our program's successes have helped me a lot, and I credit my coaches and teammates who pushed me all of my four years at Culver to become the player that I am today," said Brittain-Watts. "We prided ourselves on the idea than 'great teams have great teammates,' and that a tough, blue collar style of play is the identity we want to be known for. Culver as a whole helped us become a better team in those regards before we even stepped on the floor, and guys bought in top to bottom. It has been an honor to be a part of this program, and I look forward to representing it as an Indiana All-Star" he added.

Junior forward Deontae Craig (Ft. Wayne, IN)

CMA's 2020 class will also be well represented, as early Mr. Basketball candidates Deontae Craig and Trey Galloway were selected to compete on the Indiana Junior All-Star team. The Junior team will compete against the Kentucky Junior All-Stars on the 2nd and then against the Indiana Senior All-Star team at New Castle High School on the 5th.
