Schott Breaks School Record in 200-Yard Freestyle

Mitch Schott (’22 Newport Beach, CA) managed to best the Culver Academies school record in the 200-yard freestyle during Thursday night's IHSAA sectional preliminary round at Warsaw High School.

The previous record of 1:45.56 held by David DeVries '11 is now replaced by 1:45.03, a difference of 0:0.53.

"I am really proud of Mitch for his accomplishment, but he was just one of our success stories from last night" said head coach Joshua Brown. "83% of our swimmers earned personal bests last night, which earned us nine spots in the A-finals and 12 spots in the B-finals. We are looking forward to what the rest of the post-season has in store for us."

CMA Swim and Dive continues sectional competition this Saturday at Warsaw High School. Diving prelims and semis begin at 9:00am EST, with the finals and consolations for all events beginning at 1:00pm EST.
