“This scholarship is my doorway to a better, more supported future. It has provided new opportunities, my first taste of snow, a safe place to grow, an open ceramics studio that grabs hold of my attention and creativity, friends that I take with me wherever I go, and the full immersion and understanding of what’s meant when people say, ‘It’s a Culver thing.’”

George Roberts
CMA '62
George R. Roberts graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 1966 and from the University of California’s Hastings Law School in 1969. Mr. Roberts joined Bear Stearns and was promoted to partner at the remarkably young age of 29. He then applied his expertise and initiative to become a partner-founder of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., which specializes in financing and investing in management buyouts. With all of his corporate success, Mr. Roberts makes time to serve on numerous boards of both public and private companies, and several cultural and educational institutions. Thanks to his contributions, many Culver students are able to step into roles as leaders and service-minded citizens.
