Taking Athletics to the Next Level
We know many Culver students have a strong desire to continue playing athletics in college. We work closely with the student, parents and coaches when athletics plays an important role in the decision of where to attend college. If athletics is a strong consideration, the College Advising Office should be notified early in the students Junior year.
We make sure that each student-athlete who is considering either a Division I or Division II athlete is registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center before the student leaves for Summer Break after their Junior year. Students who are interested in Division III athletics are not required to apply to the NCAA Eligibility Center. As college advisors, many of us have extensive backgrounds in athletics and will be happy to work with students in this area. We do ask that students keep their college advisors informed with any school or university contacts they have made so that we may be informed when speaking to colleges and college coaches.
Students being recruited or seeking to be recruited to play college athletics should meet with a college advisor to review their timeline and specific needs.
