Division I for two Eagles

Two Culver Military Academy athletes recently committed to NCAA Division I colleges.

Garrett James, a senior wrestler at CMA, has signed a national letter of intent to continue his career at Northern Illinois University.

Andy Parchman, a senior face-off specialist and midfielder for the lacrosse team, will be attending Harvard University in the fall of 2007. Parchman is from Baltimore.

James currently wrestles at the 152-pound class for CMA. He won the 145-pound Indiana State Wrestling Association (AAU) championship last year.

Parchman has been named to the Indiana High School Lacrosse Association's all-state team as a face-off specialist his freshman, sophomore and junior years. He was a member of CMA's 2004 state championship team. Parchman was recently honored as High School Heisman finalist in Indiana by Wendy's and as an Academic All-State Team member by the Indiana High School Football Coaches Association and the Indianapolis Colts.
