Canada tabs Miceli
Culver Military Academy senior Greg Miceli has been selected for the U-19
Canadian lacrosse team. Miceli was one of 64 players invited to the final
selection camp in British Columbia Oct. 4-7. He was notified late last week of
his selection as one of 22 national team players.
Head
coach Gary Gait and assistant coaches Ted Sawicki and Jeff Gombar assessed the
players over the three days providing feedback at the end of each session.
Miceli, from King City, Ont., will play in the World Championship Games in July
2008, in Vancouver. He was selected to the team as a defenseman. He also plays
long-stick midfielder for the Eagles. He was named the Most Valuable Defensive
Player in CMA's state championship victory over Zionsville last spring.
