SYRACUSE - Two Culver Academies boys swimmers advanced to the state finals with first-place finishes in sectional competition Saturday.

State championships start Friday at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis.

Culver Academies' Mauricio Krantzburg qualified for the next level with wins in the 50 free (22.11) and 100 free (48.53). Teammate James McLaughlin topped the time chart in the 100 fly (53.64).

Ben Teaney, also of Culver Academies, moves on to the regional round by virtue of his fourth-place diving finish.
