Lissa Newton joined the Culver Academies Student Life Department in March of 2010. She serves as the Resident Director for the Benson Dorm. The Resident Director (RD) collaborates with the Counselor, acts as a resource for the girls, supports the girls in their day-to-day activities and requirements outside of the classroom, and works to promote a sense of community and cohesiveness within the dorm.

Lissa was previously a staff member in the Development Department where she coordinated a committee in support of the By Example Campaign and the Batten Leadership Challenge. During the summer camp sessions from 2006 – 2008, she was employed as the Woodcraft Camp Operations Manager.

Lissa is a 1983 Culver Summer Camps Graduate, Girls School Deck 5. She has completed a Supervisory Management Program at Indiana University South Bend, IN and occasionally takes continuing education courses there as well.

Lissa and her husband Terry have fraternal twin boys, Tim and T.J. They are Class of 2013, Battery C Cadets and 2008 graduates of Woodcraft Camp.
