Edward QuellaOfficer in Charge
Mr. Quella is currently the CMA Officer In Charge. As the Officer In Charge, he directly oversees the welfare of CMA and CGA students. Prior to this position, he served as a CMA counselor for a combined seven years with the Troop and Battery units.
Edward is a native of Wisconsin and came to the Academies in 1998 after an 18 year career in Law Enforcement and Federal Security Investigations. He is a graduate of the Indiana University Police Cadet Program and State of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He earned his B.A. degree from Indiana University - Bloomington with a B.A. in Forensic Studies.
Edward served as a Police Officer with Indiana University and the City of Bloomington, IN Police Departments.
For most of his career, he served as a Special Agent with the Department of Defense. As a Special Agent, he conducted security investigations on Active duty/Reserve military personnel, Department of Defense civilian employees, Defense Contractors, and various other U.S. Government Agencies/Departments like the State Department, National Security Agency, and White House; to determine an individual's suitability for a sensitive position or a Secret/Top Secret security clearance.
Edward served 9 years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and Army Reserve primarily in the Infantry and Artillery fields. In his last unit, he served in an Army Military Intelligence Detachment as an Intelligence Analyst conducting projects for the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Edward and his wife, Carol, have three children who all hail from the great "Buckeye" State. Two of their children are very proud graduates of the Culver Girl's Academy - Molly '05 of Benson Dorm and Anne '10 of Atrium Dorm.
