Mr. Quella is currently the Afternoon Officer in Charge. In his capacity, he oversees the safety and wellbeing of Culver Military Academy and Culver Girl's Academy students. Prior to this position, he served as a CMA counselor for seven years between the Troop and Battery units.

Edward is a native of Wisconsin and came to Culver Academies in 1998 after 18 years in the Law Enforcement and Investigative fields. He is a graduate of Indiana University, (IU), – Bloomington, IN, with a B.A. in Forensic Studies and the State of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Edward served as a Police Officer with the City of Bloomington and IU Police Department. He was also a Security Supervisor for a hospital on the IU Medical Center, Indianapolis campus.

For most of his career, Edward was a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Defense. As a Special Agent, he conducted security investigations on Active duty/Reserve Military personnel, U.S. Government employees in various Departments/Agencies and Government Contractors to determine if applicants or employees meet the suitability or fitness requirements for employment, or are eligible for access to Federal facilities, automated systems, or classified information.

Edward served 9 years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and Army Reserve primarily in the Infantry and Artillery fields. In his last unit, he served in an Army Military Intelligence Detachment as an Intelligence Analyst conducting projects for the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Edward and his wife, Carol, have three children who all hail from the great "Buckeye" State. Two of their children are very proud graduates of the Culver Girl's Academy - Molly '05 of Benson Dorm and Anne '10 of Atrium Dorm.
