Brett Rankert

Military Mentor, Infantry

Command Sergeant Major Rankert joined Culver Academies in August 2008. He serves as the Military Leadership Mentor for the Infantry Battalion. He retired from the United States Army in 2008 after 24 years of service. His last duty assignment was at the Presidio of Monterey where he served as the Garrison Command Sergeant Major. Throughout his career he has served in every leadership position to include: Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Battalion Command Sergeant Major, and Garrison Command Sergeant Major. His military education includes the Army Airborne Course, Basic Instructor Training Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, First Sergeants Course, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, and the Command Sergeants Major Designee Course. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts and an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Intelligence Operations.
