Andy Plonski

Military Mentor, Infantry

Sergeant Andy Plonski joined Military Activities in August, 2005. He currently serves as the Military Leadership Mentor for the Infantry Battalion. Plonski previously served as the Night Officer-in-Charge and as well as the Artillery Battalion military mentor and also sponsors the Infantry Honor Guard. In addition to his winter school duties Plonski also serves as the Military Director for Culver Woodcraft Camp and coaches JV football in the fall for CMA.

Plonski graduated from Mishawaka High School in 2000. He spent six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, 2000-2006. Awarded Marine of the Year for Engineer Co. B 6th ESB in 2001, he also served two combat tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003 & 2004). Plonski was the Toys for Tots coordinator for St Joseph county in 2004. Among his many awards are the Army Commendation medal and two Navy Achievement Medals.

He currently lives in Mishawaka, IN. Andy and his wife, Kristen, have two sons, Brayden and Landen, and a daughter, Lenorah. Additionally, he sits on the board of directors for the National Association for Uniformed Services in Springfield, VA.
