Veteran's Regatta In England

 

Culver's '43 Crew practices may 20 on Lake Maxinkuckee in preparation for the Henley Veterans Regatta.  Pictured from left to right:  John Williams "44 (Coxswain), Charles von Wrangell '43 (Stroke and Captain), T.D. The '43 Crew, accompanied by CBS News London, prepares to lay a wreath at The Cenotaph on Whitehall Street in London.  The Cenotaph honors the memory of English citizens killed in World War I and World War II.  The wreath laying ceremony, organized by the Crew, honored British comrades who fought alongside the Crew members during World War II.
Another scene from the Cenotaph.  Accompanying the Crew was a bugler from the Queen's own Guard, who played Last Post during the wreath laying ceremony.
The Crew proceeds down King Charles Street on their way to the Cenotaph.
