Jeffrey Kuhns, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. Robert Kuhns, Lima, Ohio, has been promoted to Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM), the second highest ranking cadet in the Corps.  

A junior, Jeff has earned four Silver A's, the academic honor reflecting a minimum semester grade point average of 3.2.  He also has earned one Gold A, the highest academic honor, for students earning a minimum semester grade point average of 3.7.

A member of the JV hockey and soccer teams his freshman year, Jeff has played at the varsity level for two years on the tennis team.  He also has been an active member of the Student Admissions Organization and has participated in state and district competitions for both piano and voice.

As RSM, he is responsible for supervising the administrative duties of the Battalion Sergeants Major; commanding the Color Guard; maintaining the Colors and related equipment; supervising the accuracy of the First Sergeant's reports; and managing the squad leader checklist system during Phase I of the New Cadet System.
