FOOTBALL

Past Eagle on to NFL

Former Culver Academy and North Carolina football player Jeb Terry was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL Draft Sunday.

A 1999 Culver Academy graduate, the 6-foot-5, 316 pound Terry was the 146th player selected overall.

This past season, Terry was the starting right offensive guard for North Carolina and split time between guard and tackle in 2002.

Originally recruited as a defensive tackle by the Tar Heels, Terry missed the 1999 season with a fractured ankle. He was redshirted in 2000 before being switched to the offensive line in 2001.
