Lauren Corcia has been elected
Senior Prefect of Culver Girls Academy.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Corcia of
Jupiter, Fla., and a senior at CGA, Corcia will
coordinate the government of all the dormitories and
oversee all dorm chairwomen to ensure they fulfill
their responsibilities.
The Senior Prefect is the highest-ranking
student leader in CGA.
Corcia
is the founder and commander of the CGA Drill
Team. She is a member of the varsity soccer and fencing teams
and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
She
also is
the first girl to play on Culver's lacrosse team,
having been on the JV team as a sophomore and the
varsity team as a junior. Corcia serves
on the Student Admissions
Organization, an extension of the admissions office
that provides prospective students and their parents
with tours of the Culver campus.
Previously,
she served three rotations as chairwoman of her dorm,
assisting new students, advising peers and assisting
the resident director.
She also served one rotation as chair, and two as her dorm
representative, to the personnel committee, the student
organization administering the honor system.
