Lauren Corcia named Senior Prefect

Lauren Corcia has been elected Senior Prefect of Culver Girls Academy.  The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Corcia of Jupiter, Fla., and a senior at CGA, Corcia will coordinate the government of all the dormitories and oversee all dorm chairwomen to ensure they fulfill their responsibilities.  The Senior Prefect is the highest-ranking student leader in CGA.

Corcia is the founder and commander of the CGA Drill Team.  She is a member of the varsity soccer and fencing teams and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  She also is the first girl to play on Culver's lacrosse team, having been on the JV team as a sophomore and the varsity team as a junior.  Corcia serves on the Student Admissions Organization, an extension of the admissions office that provides prospective students and their parents with tours of the Culver campus.

Previously, she served three rotations as chairwoman of her dorm, assisting new students, advising peers and assisting the resident director.  She also served one rotation as chair, and two as her dorm representative, to the personnel committee, the student organization administering the honor system.
