Jeanne Chuman has been elected chairwoman of the Personnel Committee at Culver Girls Academy.  Chuman is the daughter of Doctors Charles and Mary Chuman of Chesterton, Indiana, and a senior at CGA.  The personnel committee administers the student-owned honor system.  Each dormitory selects a representative to the committee and the chairwoman serves throughout one of the four school-year quarters.  In addition to administering the honor system, committee members serve as peer counselors to students in CGA. 

            An honor student, Chuman was among the early inductees for the Cum Laude Society, a national academic honor organization for seniors.  She participates in varsity soccer and track and field and received the Outstanding Midfielder Award in soccer at the fall sports banquet.  She is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Alliance for Student Harmony, Choices, ASIA (Alliance for Students Interested in Asia), and the Community Service Organization. She was chosen to serve as CGA Council Secretary, Catholic Prefect, and Band Prefect for the three rotations of her junior year.
