Norfolk, Va., media executive Frank Batten and his wife, Jane, have given The Culver Academies a $20.8 million gift, the largest single gift to The Academies and the largest single gift to any secondary school in the U.S., according to the Council for Aid to Education, in New York.

 

A 1945 graduate of Culver, Batten designated $10.4 million to enhance the Batten Scholarship Program, 

increasing its endowment to $21.5 million.  More
