Culver Academies Received Invitation to 2009 Presidential Inaugural Parade
Performance marks their 15th appearance since 1913

Culver Academies' Black Horse Troop and Equestriennes received and accepted an invitation to participate in the Obama-Biden Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C. on January 20, 2009. This marked the 15th time that Culver Academies has participated in the Inaugural Parade.  

"Culver is pleased to be able to carry on this tradition that began almost 100 years ago. Our students began preparing for this in September and the invitation is a testament to their effort and to Culver's tradition of participating in the parade. We are grateful to everyone who supported us and made this a reality. We are especially honored to represent Culver Academies, Indiana and the United States in the parade."  

As part of the weekend celebration, the Capital City Culver Club hosted a Reception and Dinner for Culver Academies and Culver Summer Schools & Camps alumni, parents, and friends on January 18th at 6:30PM at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.  Click here for event details.
