Technology Support Technician

Job Summary:

The Technology Support Technician (Summer Intern) runs automatic diagnostics programs to resolve pc problems. The technician will work on monitors, keyboards, printers, mice, and telephony. They will Install, modify, clean, and repair computer hardware and software. Additionally, they may file electronic warranty reimbursements claims for laptop and desktop computers.

This position also provides assistance and instruction to students and staff regarding various software applications and hardware devices. He/She must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain positive working relationships with the students, faculty, and staff of The Academies. 

Customer Service is key to success of this role.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Responsibilities include software and hardware diagnosis, ordering and returning computer parts, laptop maintenance and re-imaging. 

The technician should possess a high degree of computer literacy with the ability to train others, have the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and must be able to access various areas on campus as this position requires walking and climbing stairs. 

Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule as overtime may be required as well as occasional evening and weekend hours.
