Woodcraft Camp is six weeks of fun, friendship, and a chance to learn leadership skills that build confidence for a lifetime.

Unlike ordinary summer camps, Culver's camp program provides a strong focus on the development of leadership skills -- an approach that instills courtesy, personal organization, and the ability to make well thought-out choices. Through the years, Woodcraft Camp parents have remarked that their kids return from camp with a greater ability to cooperate and interact with others to achieve not only their own goals, but family and group goals as well.

With over 60 elective recreational and instructional activities to choose from, campers develop academic and physical skills, as well as an appreciation for nature and other cultures. An extraordinary degree of personal attention from over 160 Culver camp counselors and staff helps young people develop the confidence they need to succeed in school and in their interpersonal relationships.

They can improve academic skills, discover the natural world, learn Indian dancing, and develop swimming skills for safe, enjoyable participation in a variety of aquatic activities.

In the afternoon, recreation period provides time to play hard and have fun while developing physical skills. Under the close supervision of camp counselors and staff with expertise in specific areas, campers participate in intramural activities with others of similar skill and development.
