Matthew Thompson joined Culver in the summer of 2011 as the Director of Athletics. Most recently, Matt spent four years as the Associate Athletic Director, Physical Education teacher, and coach at Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, MA. Prior to his time at BCDS, Matt served as the Director of Athletics, Spanish teacher, and coach at the Knox School in St. James, NY. Over the course of his career, Matt also spent time as an athletic administrator and women’s soccer coach at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Centenary College (NJ).

Matt holds a BA in English from Dickinson College (PA) where he was a two-year Captain of the varsity soccer team and currently ranks fifth on the school’s all-time scoring list. Matt also possesses an MS in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University where he served as the Assistant Ticket Manager for the athletic department.

Matt and his wife, Jana, reside in Culver with their two children Ethan (2006) and Maya (2010).
