Matthew Boland joined the volleyball coaching staff in 2007 as the head junior varsity volleyball coach, and is now the head coach of the varsity team. He has over 13 years of experience coaching volleyball starting at Rifle High School and Glenwood Springs High School in Colorado. During this tenure he received training from Carl McGown former national team coach and head men's volleyball coach from Brigham Young University. He is an instructor in mathematics and has also been an assistant coach with Culver Academies Wrestling Team. He and his wife Karen have four children; their eldest is a sophomore in CGA. The others range in age from thirteen to eight and are homeschooled.
