Susan Thews '77 is in her thirteenth season of working with the girls basketball program and eighth year of coaching youth basketball. Coach Thews played varsity basketball and volleyball at CGA and was instrumental as a player in the startup of the women's basketball and softball programs at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where she earned a bachelor's of arts degree in 1981 in Physical Education. She earned her master's in business administration from the University of Phoenix in 2003. Coach Thews joined the Culver staff in 1996 and serves as the administrative manager in the Facilities Department. Coach Thews is married to Roger Thews, also a 1977 Culver graduate. The Thews' have three children and they live in the Culver community.
