Gary Christlieb enters his sixth season as the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Culver Academies and his 30th season overall. Coach Christlieb is a graduate of Fort Wayne Carroll High School, where he played basketball and ran track. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Indiana University and his Masters of Science at Butler University. Professionally, Coach Christlieb had the opportunity of being selected as one of eight coaches from the United States to assist in the development of the Scottish National Basketball program and in 1994 served as the Advisory Coach for Team Scotland in the Four Countries Tournament in Dublin, Ireland. Coach Christlieb ranks the 2011 IHSAA Sectional Championship as one of his proudest moments during his coaching career. He is a member of the Humanities Department at Culver Academies, teaching AP United States History, American Studies, and the senior elective Character, Leadership, & The American Civil War. He and his wife Melissa have three daughters.
