Kate Fredericks joined the faculty at Culver in 2008 as an Instructor in Humanities.  Having grown up on Nantucket Island and attending Tabor Academy, racing dingies through high school, her yacht club and college in 420's and Lasers, it was a natural fit for her to become a boarding school teacher and sailing coach.

Kate attended Tabor Academy in Marion, MA for four years of prep school and competed all over New England with their nationally ranked sailing team.  Under the instruction of Toby Baker and Rob Hurd, she took her sailing skills onto Indiana University to sail in the MCSA (Midwest Colliegate Sailing Association).  Interestingly enough, several of the peopele she raced against in college are now coaches for other MISSA teams!  

She has great aspirations for Culver's team and with enthusiastic and energetic sailors and our fabulous facility, we can have a wonderful sailing program!
