Dr. John Yeager is Director of Culverís Center for Character Excellence and chair of the Wellness Education department. He joined the Culver Academies Wellness Education department in fall of 2000. Prior to coming to Culver, he was on faculty in the School of Education at Boston University and an associate scholar in BUís Center for the Advancement of Ethics and Character.
He earned an EdD in Health Education from Boston University and has mastersí degrees in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and Health Education from Worcester State (MA) College. His bachelorís degree is in Physical Education and Health from Boston State (UMass/Boston) College.

As the head boyís lacrosse coach from 2001-2004, his teams won two Indiana State Championships. He currently assists with both the boyís and womenís programs.

Also, Yeager has studied with the top experts in Positive Psychology and is the author/co-author of Character and Coaching ñ Building Virtue in Athletic Programs, and Our Game: The Character and Culture of Lacrosse.

His wife, Laura, the Stewardship Manager in Culverís Development Department, have a daughter, Megan.
