Alex Mies is a native of Michigan where hockey is a way of life.  He has played both hockey and lacrosse since he  was four years old. He attended Cranbrook Kingswood where he played varsity hockey for four years in the MIHL  and won two state championships. He earned an undergraduate degree from The College of Wooster in Ohio, where he also played lacrosse. Alex will be teaching in the Humanities Department this year. He is excited to share his knowledge of hockey with rising stars. Growing up he always wanted to be a coach and he is excited for the opportunity to start his career.
