CMA Eagles Outmuscled by Valparaiso Vikings, 12-6
The CMA Eagles Make the Most of Four Hits in 3-1 Victory Over Westview
Both the CMA Eagles and Westview put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the CMA Eagles that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-1 win at Culver. Westview out-hit CMA Eagles eight to four, but Westview stranded 14 runners on base. The fact that the CMA Eagles grouped all of their runs into the fifth inning helped them take advantage of their hits. Kyle Bartelman recorded the win for the CMA Eagles. He tossed one-third of an inning of shutout ball. Bartelman struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits. Westview's lone run of the ballgame came in the first inning on an RBI single by Luke Miller. The CMA Eagles didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the fifth inning when they scored on 3s.
