1. Obtain current information from both students and parents
regarding their personal and academic criteria and preferences.
2. Create and modify, with student and parent input, a college
list that accurately estimates the student's chance of admission,
thereby guiding each student through the exploration and
application process.
3 Educate the students through the College Advising Guidance
Class, with the assistance of a text and lectures, to the process
of visitation and representation on college campuses, and the
creation of application material to the colleges.
4. Meet and work with individual students struggling to earn the
grades necessary for them to be competitive to the colleges they
seek to attend.
5. Assimilate the information obtained from faculty and
counselors to better represent our student through school
recommendation.
6. Meet the emotional needs of both the parents and students.
The College Advising office will meet regularly with the students
and communicate with the parents to keep them well informed about
the exploration and application process.
7. Represent each student through written and oral
recommendations to the colleges they seek most to attend.
