Interests/Clubs/Sports: Crew, Fencing, Student Ambassador Organization, Junior State of America, Pipes and Drums, Leadership Committee for Africa, and Global Studies Institute.

Volunteer Activities: Mission trips to South Africa and India with Culver during spring breaks.  2 week program working in a hospital in Peru, and 4 weeks working in an ecological reservation in Peru. 

Favorite aspect of Culver: The diversity of interests on campus.  Students aren’t simply ‘jocks’ or ‘nerds.’  The selection of opportunities we have in choices of clubs and sports makes it possible to be a well-rounded individual.

Favorite Class: AP Language and Composition.

First-choice College: The United States Naval Academy

Why Culver: I chose Culver because I saw that the school enabled students to support and encourage one another to challenge themselves and reach for success.

Goals while at Culver: Become the captain of crew and/or the fencing team, learn how to speak Spanish fluently, and attain the position of co-pipe major by senior year.

Role Model: Phoebe Hall, a Culver alumna, and a sophomore at Williams College who was the salutatorian of her class in 2013.
