A distinguished Merit Scholarship program for Culver Academies Students

Next March three exceptional freshmen and/or first-year sophomores with a passion for the visual and performing arts will learn that they have been selected for an educational experience second to none. The Huffington Scholars Program at Culver Academies will uplift them in mind, spirit, and body, as it prepares them for the finest colleges and universities and for a lifetime of principled leadership.

This merit-based scholarship is named in honor of Michael Huffington ’65, who is a Culver benefactor as well as a patron of the arts. The Huffington Scholars Program will eventually support 12 outstanding students at Culver. Potential recipients of the award will be incoming freshmen and sophomores. They will be recruited primarily from the southern United States. However, any U.S. citizen, no matter where he or she resides, is eligible.

The Huffington scholarship is renewable annually. Recipients who continue to excel academically, as student leaders, and in extracurricular activities will each realize a total, four-year value in excess of $150,000.
