Role Model: My former roommate and close friend, Emily Ford has traveled the world doing community service and truly exemplifies a leader in all regards. She has an incredibly mature sense of right and wrong and proves that no struggle is too difficult to get through. I trust that she will accomplish wonderful things in the future and I aspire to eventually accomplish the same sort of things.
Last Summer's Adventures: I went to a JSA leadership summit where I learned how to effectively manage the logistics behind a national origination as well as successfully lead it. I also spent time in Minnesota, California, and Tennessee visiting friends, family and several colleges.
Top 3 goals for this school year: Get a 5 on the AP United States History exam, teach ten of my peers how to sail well and create a thriving JSA chapter.
"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." –Edith Wharton. I am someone who always tries to do their personal best, to rise up to any and every occasion and put in the necessary effort to excel. Culver has taught me that sometimes the best way to excel is to bestow your knowledge upon others and guide them to greatness. Through coaching, peer tutoring and participating in the Culver leadership system I have experienced the value of helping others to succeed. I hope to have many similar experiences in my final years at Culver.
