Open to outstanding incoming freshman or first-year sophomore students across the country to attend Culver Military Academy or Culver Girls Academy, competition for the Batten Scholarship is always keen. Each year, nearly 200 applicants compete for the available scholarships. It is required that students apply for admission to the Academies and submit their Batten Scholarship application before the December 15 deadline.  Please refer to Application Timetable and Checklist for full requirements. 

To be considered, applicants must have previously demonstrated excellence in Academics, Citizenship, and Character.

A Batten Scholarship also covers the expenses involved in one of Culver’s spring break mission/work projects during the sophomore year and an off-site summer study program in the United States or overseas after the junior year.
