Financial Aid

Culver Academies understands the financial commitment of an independent school education and focuses on maximizing our resources to provide opportunities to those families who qualify or warrant assistance. Culver offers need based financial aid assistance as well as non-need based awards. Need based aid depends solely on a family's financial profile and is independent from the admissions process. Scholarships / Merit awards are based on the strength of the candidate and can range from small amounts to full awards. See Scholarships for more information on our Merit Scholarship Programs.

Currently Culver provides need based financial aid to roughly one third of its students, with an additional 16% of our students receiving scholarship / merit based awards. In total, almost 48% of our families are receiving some financial assistance; a significantly higher proportion than the average support provided by many of our peer schools.

 Financial Aid Procedures for NEW and RETURNING students

  2. Complete the Parents Financial Statement (PFS)
    The PFS is the financial aid application. School and Students Services (SSS) process all financial aid applications (PFS) and estimates the amount you can contribute to school expenses and forwards that estimate to Culver. You may complete the Parents Financial Statement online starting November 3, 2015. 
  3. Upload all required financial documents to your PFS online account.
  • 2014 W2 and 1040 with all filed schedules and attachments
  • 2015 W2 and 1040 with all filed schedules and attachments 
    Canadian Residents: upload your 2014 and 2015 T-4s when available.
    All W2's and 1040'smust be uploaded to SSS in order to be considered for financial aid. 

RETURNING Students must also complete the PFS online by the 2016 renewals deadline, to be fully considered for a 2016-17 Financial Aid Award. Not adhering to this deadline will cause your request for financial aid to be delayed and possibly denied because of limited funding and the large number of new students applying for Financial Aid each year. You must reapply for financial aid each year.

NEW Applicants must have completed the Culver Academies Application Checklist requirements, been admitted to Culver prior to any financial aid consideration, and have completed the PFS online by the January 15, 2016 deadline, in order to be fully considered for a 2016-17 Financial Aid Award.
