Meet The Faculty
Phillip Cook
Phillip Cook joined the Culver Academies’ Science Department in 2007. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry Education from Purdue University in May of 2000.
Mr. Cook currently teaches Chemistry and Conceptual Physics. He loves to share his passion for chemistry through an annual Chem-o-ween celebration. Most summers he participates in a Research Experience for Teachers program at the University of Notre Dame, where his research interests revolve around nanotechnology in electrical engineering, specifically the study of graphene and devices made using graphene. He is the Assistant Director of the Barefoot Research Initiative in the Science Department where he works with students on innovative science research projects.
Mr. Cook is honored to have received the General Delmar T. Spivey award from the academic chairs in 2009.
