David Lawrence joined the Culver Academies' Science Department in 2012. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University. He worked for two years at Lafayette Instrument Company where he aided in the design of human performance instrumentation before pursuing a teaching career.

Prior to Culver, Mr. Lawrence spent nine years at Triton Central High School in Fairland, Indiana teaching various engineering courses, physics, and coached a VEX Robotics team. Here at Culver, Mr. Lawrence teaches Engineering I and Physics.

In addition to his Culver teaching responsibilities, Mr. Lawrence is an assistant coach for cross country and track.
