Meet The Faculty
Kim White
Kim White joined the Culver Academies’ Department of Modern and Classical Languages in 1991. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975 from Michigan State University with a major in Spanish and a minor in French. She then earned a Master of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Michigan State University while serving as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Romance Languages there. Her areas of study and interest include the magical realism literary genre, Latin American and Spanish art, and Latin American folk art and music. She teaches all levels of Spanish and is currently teaching Spanish 1 and 3. Prior to arriving at Culver Academies, she taught Spanish at Cranbrook Kingswood School where she also co-coordinated their outdoor program and coached girls’ middle-school volleyball and softball.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. White has been an Assistant Coach for Culver Crew since 1993. Ms. White is married to Charles Brown.
