Meet The Faculty
Candace Koehn joined the Culver Academies' English Department in 1991. She earned a B.S. Ed. and an M.S. Ed. from Bowling Green State University. Her areas of study include Latin, Greek, classical civilization, British literature, and writing instruction. She taught British Literature, Myth and Literature, and World Literature while in the English Department. She currently teaches Latin 1, Latin 2, and Latin 3. Prior to arriving at Culver Academies, she taught Latin and English at Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Ohio, from 1978 - 1991. In 1975, she began her teaching career at New Lexington High School in New Lexington, Ohio.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Koehn also served as co-advisor for the CGA Honor Council from 1991 until 2010, as a member of the Duchossois Scholarship selection committee, as a Faculty Marshal from 2002 until 2013, as study hall proctor for CMA hockey A/prep hockey teams from 2001 until 2012, and Faculty Intern Coordinator from 2000 until 2007.
