Fred Haase joined the Culver Academies’ in 1972, teaching in both the departments of Modern and Classical Languages and Humanities. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Latin (Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) in 1971 from Wabash College (IN) and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Washington University (St. Louis) in 1972. His areas of study and teaching interests include classical languages and civilization and free market economics. In 1982 Mr. Haase was named to the W. A. Moncrief, Jr. Chair of Free Enterprise Economics, and since 1989 he has served as a consultant to the College Board and an Advanced Placement reader in economics. He currently teaches Advanced Placement Latin and Advanced Placement Economics. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Haase also coaches the CGA and CMA golf teams and serves as chairman of the Department of Modern and Classical Languages. 

Mr. Haase and his wife Nancy have three children, David who graduated from CMA in 1999, Caroline who graduated from CGA in 2003, and Ryan, a current 2nd classman in CMA.
