Thomas Haynes has worked with Math, Religious Life and Instructional Technology at the Culver Academies since 2000. He currently teaches Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, and he is the level leader for the Algebra 1 team. Mr. Haynes is the Assistant Director of Religious Programs on campus, and he is the Pastor of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in the town of Culver. 

In 1981, Mr. Haynes earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of the South, and in 1992 he earned a master’s degree in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University. He is Novell (3.11) and Microsoft (NT Server 4) certified.

Mr. Haynes has completed coursework for ordination in the Episcopal Church and is scheduled to be ordained during the 2009 - 2010 academic year (Deo volente!)  He has started work on a doctoral program from Virginia Theological Seminary and expects to complete that degree program in 2011.

Prior to work at the Culver Academies, Mr. Haynes taught for Rutherford County Schools and Middle Tennessee State University. He was the Chapel Coordinator and Director of the Middle School at the Webb School in Bell Buckle, TN.

Mr. Haynes is married to the Rev. Susan B. Haynes who is the Rector at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mishawaka. One of their children attends the Academies as a freshman, and the other is an enthusiastic Cardinal at Woodcraft.
