Meet The Faculty
Guy Weaser
Guy Weaser joined the Culver Mathematics Department in the fall of 1982. He is the head rowing coach. He learned about Culver while he was coaching the club rowing program at The University of Iowa, and was attracted to the opportunity to teach and coach rowing at the secondary level. He earned a bachelors degree in mathematics at UCLA, where he developed skills in mathematics, statistics, computer programming, rowing, and an interest in geography, which provided an application for many of those skills. He earned a masters degree in geography from The University of Iowa with an emphasis in urban population density modeling. He spent one year teaching geometry through calculus and computer programming at Scott City High School (Scott City, KS) before being appointed to the faculty at Culver.
His wife, Laura, is the Dean of Girls and together they have two children.
