Nick Counts joined the Culver Academies' Math Department in 2004 and was appointed chair in 2008.  He earned his Bachelors' degree in mathematics from Grand Valley State University in 1998.  He then earned his Masters' degree from Michigan State University in 2002.  Prior to arriving in Culver, he spent six years teaching Math and Physics at the Leelanau School in northern Michigan.  Mr. Counts is currently teaching Honors Elements of Calculus and Statistics.

In addition to his teaching and chair responsibilities, he is secretary of the Cum Laude committee, a barracks inspector in Battery B, and in charge of the honors math projects. He lives in town with his wife, Kristen and their daughter Ruthie.
