Meet The Faculty
Gary Christlieb
Gary Christlieb
Gary Christlieb joined the Culver Academies Humanities department in 2006. He earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University and a master's degree in Secondary Education from Butler University. His areas of study and teaching interests include American history, American literature, American government, psychology, sociology, and American military history. He currently instructs American Studies at the junior level. Prior to arriving at the Culver Academies, Mr. Christlieb spent 20 years as a public school instructor in Indiana.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Christlieb also directs the CGA Varsity Basketball Program. Coach Christlieb brings over 25 years of coaching experience to the CGA Basketball Program. One of his coaching career highlights includes being selected as one of eight coaches from the United States to assist with the development of the Scottish National Basketball program in 1992. In 1994 Coach Christlieb served as the Advisory Coach for Team Scotland in the Four Countries Tournament in Dublin, Ireland.
A native Hoosier, Mr. Christlieb and his wife of over 18 years have three daughters and reside within the Culver community.
