Meet The Faculty
Emily Uebler
Writing CenterEmily Uebler joined the Culver Academies Humanities Department in the fall of 2010. She earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education from Purdue University in West Lafayette and is licensed to teach grades 5-12. Prior to Culver, Mrs. Uebler spent six years at NorthWood High School in Nappanee, Indiana where she taught English and coached the Spell Bowl and English Teams. In the fall of 2009, Mrs. Uebler began a year of full-time graduate work at Indiana University Bloomington where she completed her master’s in secondary education in the summer of 2010. She is currently continuing her education as a PhD student in Indiana University Bloomington’s Curriculum Studies Program. Here at Culver, Mrs. Uebler directs the Writing Center and teaches Advanced Placement Language and Composition/American Studies and an Expository Writing Seminar.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Uebler serves as a faculty co-sponsor of The Quill, Culver’s literary magazine. She also supervises the Writing Center Fellows Program and is a member of the Learning Support Committee.
