Meet The Faculty
Andrew Dorrel
Andrew Dorrel joined Culver’s History Department in 1997. He graduated from Wabash College in 1994, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. Mr. Dorrel was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, and a three year letter winner and team captain for the Little Giants’ football team. He is currently pursuing an MBA degree from Valparaiso University. Mr. Dorrel has taught several courses in his Culver tenure ranging from Humanities at the freshman and junior levels to senior electives such as Government and Economics. Prior to arriving at Culver, he taught at Crown Point High School where he also coached varsity football, wrestling and track.
In addition to his Culver teaching responsibilities, Coach Dorrel also directs the Eagle football program. Under his guidance, the Eagles won the school’s first Sectional Championship and achieved a reputation in the Midwest as the premier boarding school football program.
Mr. Dorrel resides in Culver with his wife, Dr. Jennifer Dorrel, and their son.
