Deborah N. Foley
Teaching AssociateDeborah N. Foley received her bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in 1972. With a major in Physical Education & Health and a minor in Art Education, her continuing education classes include Outdoor Education, Folk Dance, Distance Learning, Technology Education and the Thomas Day Education Project ~ NEH-funded Landmarks of American History workshop Crafting Freedom. She has completed graduate work at Towson State University and IUPUI. Deborah joined the staff of the Huffington Library in 1990 and has been team-teaching the Information Literacy class with Linda Browne since 1996. She is a member of Culver’s Technology Integrators group and attends the annual National Educational Computing Conference. She has been the Culver Quilting Circle sponsor since 2001, joined the Culver Pipes and Drums band in the spring of '03, and Culver Living History Club member. Deborah coordinates the Food Cooperative at Earthworks and is a Culver LakeFest volunteer. Prior to coming to Culver, Deborah taught Jr. High School in Fort Meade, Maryland and K-10 with the DOD in Garmisch Germany. In 1979-80, she also served under Dean England as a counselor for Culver Academies and Col. Lane in Summer School Admissions. Deborah and her husband, Kevin Foley, have one son, Nathaniel H. Brown CMA '94.
