Kristin Myers Little
Honors in Equine Science InstructorKristin Myers Little graduated from the Culver Academy for Girls in 1975. She joined Culver Academies in 1985 as an instructor and herd manager in the Department of Horsemanship. Then she returned to Culver in 1990 to teach biology in the Science Department. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Master of Science in Agriculture from Ohio State University and Science Education certification from Otterbein College. Ms. Little currently teaches Introductory Biology and Honors in Equine Science. She is the biology level chair and holds the Kinsey Chair of Science. Prior to arriving at Culver, she taught science in the Ohio Public School system, instructed students in riding at private stables, published a 4-H journal on draft horses and trained hunters and jumpers. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Little was Head Coach of the Equestriennes from 1990 – 1994, Assistant Coach for JV Jumping, Varsity Jumping, the Outdoors Club and Rough Riding. She currently advises Honors in Equine Science, is a member of the Culver’s Technology Integrators learning community and developed a tall grass prairie as an outdoor education center. Ms. Little is married to Mr. Ed Little, Director of Horsemanship Operations. He has two sons; Samuel Little CMA ‘02and Jacob Little CMA ‘04.
